It was a hot day in June.

I will always have fond memories of this wedding!

The brief was colour! That’s it…colour! Every single shade of seasonal flower that we could find went into creating the most beautiful flowers for Jane and Jasper’s wedding held at the wonderful Fulham Palace in June this year.

I loved Jane’s personality from the moment we initially spoke on the phone. You know the feeling when you just click with someone and you know that you’re the perfect match! She was so fun and all she wanted to do was to have the BEST day and to marry her true love.

I sourced the flowers from a supplier just outside of Guildford and topped them up with Dutch flowers and English foliage and herbs which went together to build arches, urns, meadows and a wonderful hanging chandelier along the centre of the marquee at the Palace.

We knew it was going to be a hot day but we had NO IDEA how hot it would be. We had to mist all the foliage, regularly topping up the water levels and even put all the bouquets in my air conditioned car to ensure that they remained as fresh as possible for their moment of glory. They held out and to see Jane’s face as we arrived with her bouquet made all our efforts worthwhile.

I really enjoy it when couples have complete faith in what I do and what we will provide on the day. The added bonus that this wedding needed to be colourful was the icing on the cake as these are the flowers that I love to work with. I’ll take on any brief but it’s so much easier when I am allowed to use the flowers that I love and that I would personally choose as my favourites. I loved being given creative freedom to create this look and to work with the suppliers that I trust, it’s important as a creative to be given this freedom as it’s during this time that I thrive!

Thank you Jane and Jasper for trusting me with your vision, it was an absolute pleasure!
